Green and Growing since 1984

We take an earth-friendly approach to all aspects of our business. Stepping beyond simple recycling, we examine the environmental impact of all aspects of our business and take steps to adopt sustainable operations to help protect the earth.

We pride ourselves in preparing great food from scratch using locally-grown produce. Our long-standing relationship with our neighbor, the St. Paul Farmers’ Market has helped us build relationships with sources of the best locally-grown produce. By using the freshest ingredients, we are able to provide our customers healthy food while minimizing the impact of our business on Mother Earth.

Our focus on locally-grown ingredients reduces our environmental impact by cutting down on the need to transport food long distances.

We offer low-waste and no-waste catering service options. We use packaging materials that are 100% recycled and can be recycled or composted to bio-degrade. We use compostable food starch cutlery, and our food waste goes to feed the pigs at Barthold Hog Farm, not the dumpster out back. At our no-waste catered events we bring plates and silverware from our restaurant to the event and take them back when we’re done, using no disposable materials in the process.

And, of course, we recycle our aluminum, glass, steel, plastic, paper and cardboard. We are a member of Minnesota Wastewise, a member-supported, nonprofit affiliate program of the Minnesota Chamber of Commerce that provides confidential, non-regulatory waste reduction and recycling services to Minnesota businesses.
